The moment the tickets for this show went on sale, I bought then. Literally. I sat at the website until noon, and swooped in and purchased them. If there had been seating for the show, we (me and K) would have been in the second row!

Nov. 25th, 2009 09:57 pmI think I've recovered from Dollhouse's cancellation news (or maybe I'm just in denial and will start sobbing the moment the series finale ends), so that means getting back to work on the paper for my English class. The subject is about fairytales and modern adaptations (and she means 80s/90s or more recent). And after trying to figure out something I've read/seen before, I finally remembered the Dollhouse episode "Briar Rose."

Nov. 11th, 2009 07:10 pmCame home and found Dollhouse is cancelled and I sure as all FUCK blame Fox. Why did they green light the show just to dump it on the Friday Night Death Slot? Why did they bring it back just to smother it some more by NOT PROMOTING the show: wrong times, wrong air dates, mixed messages that made fans nervous and the media assume the worst, sending Eliza out on interviews THREE WEEKS into the second season with one interviewer--ON YOUR OWN NETWORK--who didn't even know the new season had premiered?
It doesn't make any god damned sense. Either Fox is entirely fucking incompetent or else they always wanted the show dead (Joss did say they were never comfortable with FUNDAMENTAL aspects of the series).
I really, really home there's a possibility Dollhouse can continue on another network. It's too good a show. As much as people BAWW about Firefly, it was never more than a fun show. Dollhouse makes me think. It makes ME uncomfortable, and that's damn hard to do.
Damnit. I decided to write a paper on Dollhouse for my English class. Now it's going to be really depressing =(
