Damn friend had the nerve to have a birthday celebration on Friday =P

And then I saw Wolverine this morning. That movie was AWESOME. More than made up for X3. And, seriously, Gambit needs his own movie. Like. Now.

No, seriously. Now.

Anyway, I just saw Dollhouse...I literally got onto the floor and starting worshipping at the altar of Joss Whedon. Holy shit. I don't even know where to...what.

Everyone and their grandma figured out Dr. Saunders is a doll named Whiskey. I didn't quite expect it to play out this way. I love the character (and Amy Acker) even more now. "I know who I am." I think that about sums it up.

And they finally dropped the big "soul" word - even better, the idea of being gods, according to Alpha. I loved loved loved the Alpha vs Echo confrontation. My god.

And Ballard - whoa, he chose to free Mellie! Interesting. Maybe my head's still exploding from the sheer awesome, but what's his logic in deciding not only to not free Caroline, but to stick around and work for the Dollhouse? Interesting. His and Boyd's dynamic will be very interesting.

SEASON2SEASON2SEASON2SEASON2SEASON2GODDAMNIT.

Now I'm mighty suspicious, because some stuff was missing from this episode. I think. Sierra and November were sent off to be bounty hunters, but we never saw them do anything? And there are promo pics of them in their bounty hunting gear (a bit disappointed, I wanted to see Miracle Laurie in that part).

And the Fox April Fool's...showed a clip with Ballard and Echo and Topher that WAS SO NOT IN THIS EPISODE and I was waiting for it the entire time.

Guess I better go check out Whedonesque now... (And after that, Star Trek!)

EDIT: Read some other reviews/reactions...I'm not sure I'd go as far as those who say Ballard was completely redeemed, or that he's the most moral character on the show. LOL. I was happy he freed Mellie, because, like I ranted last week, I was really sick of seeing her being treated like crap by everyone. It didn't redeem Ballard in my eyes - he's not all bad, but he's not all good either, like everyone else on the show. He still chose to work for the Dollhouse at the end, regardless of his motives...he's more like Boyd now. (And, again, I really really really want to see more Ballard-Boyd scenes in the future.)
