Have you seen the script to the last episode? I don't know if it was posted on Whedonesque or not, but this does have the missing parts with Sierra and November in it. :O I'm so sad that they had to cut it, and I'm secretly hoping that it shows up as a deleted scene or something.

And man, the best part about Dollhouse is that you can't really pick out who's the most moral character on the show. You couldn't even really pick out who was the most immoral for awhile, but I guess with the revelation that Alpha has always been kind of evil, he's the front runner in that race now. :/

Anyway, I'm thinking Ballard decided to save Mellie over saving Caroline since he did knowingly use her for sex, and he probably felt he had to make up for that first. That, and if he was planning to stick around in the Dollhouse, I imagine having to see November walking around would be far more uncomfortable for him than having to see Echo. |D
