WHAT

WHAT

WHAT THE

WHAT

DO THEY REALLY EXPECT ME TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK?

I MEAN

WHAT

I'M INCOHERENT OVER HERE

First, I have to LOL, because today my mom had CSI on, where Alan Tudyk played a pedophile. So when he showed up on Dollhouse, I'm over here going, "It's Wash!" and she went, "Oh, it's him. The pedophile." LOLOLOL.

Ahem.

Anyway, I was bad and was spoiled long ago that Alan Tudyk was Alpha, so I didn't get to revel in the TOTALLY AWESOME REVEAL.

Mellie breaks my heart =( I don't ship her with Paul because, ew, creepy, but it's just that, she's an imprint, so all of this is completely real to her. She's completely and pathetically and hopelessly in love with him and is willing to give up her dignity to make him stay while he obsesses over ~Caroline~. And then it gets all meta-ish later on when he sees her in the Dollhouse and just goes, "YEAH YOU MIGHT KILL ME, SORRY, KTHNX BYE." Yeah, because, Echo (sorry, ~Caroline~) couldn't possibly be a sleeper active, too? Because you totally knew Lubov was a doll, right? Thinking with your dick. Yeah, Mellie breaks my heart, because she's used and treated like nothing. *sob* Especially if she joined the Dollhouse voluntarily to forget about her dead kid and get away from the pain...only to be put into a different kind of pain. *sob* *sob*

The Ballard-Boyd fight is probably going to be one of my favorite fight scenes for all eternity, not because of the fighting itself, but because of what it was about and Echo's presence. Ballard's there, thinking he's going to save the damsel, and Boyd is trying to get him to leave, thinking he's protecting the damsel. While Echo just kind of watches them in confusion. They're both delusional. (Always loved ya, Boyd, but always knew there was something fishy with you. GOD WE NEED A SEASON 2 TO LEARN MORE.) And of course, I loved Echo having flashbacks and deciding Ballard was the baddie, and that she trusted Boyd.

Okay, I think Enver Gjokaj pulled into the lead as my favorite actor on the show. Victor as Dominic was thoroughly convincing, down to the smallest mannerisms and even his voice. I thought it was dubbed over a minute, he was that good. If we don't get more Dollhouse, I'm stalking Enver Gjokaj forever. Other shining moments in this episode: "They were fighting on me." Awww. And rolling around the floor in pain after Alpha sliced and diced him - I wanted to jump into my TV and hug him. =(

And while I'm on that scene...looks like speculation about Dr. Saunders being a doll is true. It was strange she wasn't in the virus episode, so we never got a direct answer. But Dominic called her "Whiskey" and the later scene with Alpha was definitely implying she's a doll. And she doesn't know it. HOLY SHIT THAT WILL BE SO CREEPY.

Alan Tudyk was creepy even before the Alpha reveal. Like, there was a weird sexual vibe coming from him. Or is it just me? Like when he touched Ballard, it seemed a little awkward for a moment...

Of course, the Alpha and Echo thing at the end. WTF. WTF. WTF. WHO IS THAT IMPRINT? WHY IS SHE IN CAROLINE/ECHO'S BODY? WHAT WHAT WHAT?

GYAAAAAAH.

*breathes*

Other thoughts:
- Loomis FTW. That is all.
- Ivy! Ivy smiling! Ivy and Topher...getting along? Awww.
- I liked the Briar Rose and Susan parallels. Ended up not being as straightforward as I thought. Gonna think on that.
- Assiello's still a douche.
- GYAH JUST TELL ME IF IT'S RENEWED OR CANCELED. IT'S THE WAITING THAT'S KILLING ME.
- Oh yeah: I thought it was interesting DeWitt chose Victor to imprint Dominic on. Thought there'd be a bit more than that, but nope. Still, can't help but notice.
- The Dollhouse being self-sustaining and "invisible" => interesting thoughts about "Epitaph One"!
- Okay, I think I've sufficiently proven I'm obsessed.

EDIT:
Wait, more thoughts on the Ballard-Boyd fight and how they both think they're the Prince. IT MADE ME THINK OF UTENA. [Spoilers for Utena] Utena thinks she's so ~subversive~ by deciding to become a prince, and then Anthy comes along, and she thinks she's going to rescue her. And then at the end of the series, Anthy stabs Utena in the back, literally. And it's after the fact that Anthy decides to rescue herself. I have no idea if that's what Dollhouse is angling for, but that's what it made me think of.

Crap. Now I can't stop thinking of Dollhouse/Utena parallels. *bashes head*

omg that fight was vicious. i was actually really worried one of them was going to die (well, more worried about boyd than paul ;). which was a further distraction from the actual surprise of the episode, so good job, show.

Oh man, I've been such a spoiler whore that I ruined all the surprises. And yet the fight was entirely suspenseful!
