HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.

"I'm not Caroline. I'm Echo." <== TOTALLY HAD A DREAM ABOUT THIS.

AND NOW IT'S HAPPENING.

HOLY FUCK.

...and was Paul trying to wine and dine Echo? CREEPER ALERT.

I hope my hopes come true: Paul obsesses with Caroline, Echo gets annoyed, Paul grows to know/like/love/respect Echo, somehow Caroline gets her body back, and Paul doesn't like Caroline now that he, you know, knows more about her than a pretty photograph, and mourns Echo. That would be FTW.

I see they really meant it about S2 being the end. Last episode set the direct groundwork for Epitaph One where Rossum is writing laws and perfecting the remote wipe tech. These catch us up to that Paul and Echo scene in elevator when she is able to slip in/out of her imprints, and she has the headaches. And from the promo, the whole "army in a single phone call" deal. And who knows what else when the eps actually air. Guess Joss really did learn from Firefly (OH MY GOD PLEASE TELL US WTF IS WITH BOYD I NEED THE ANSWERS LIKE AIR).

Epitaph One questions still in the air:
- Saunders and Boyd get closer (OMFG I can't wait for her to come back)
- Why does Boyd leave, and what did he do that put Echo in danger?
- How does Caroline get back into her body?
- "Thanks to Alpha." Did he help them, or did they just use his tech?
- What terrible things did DeWitt do to Dominic's body? (Rawr. /perv)
- Does Caroline kill DeWitt?
- What happened to the Novembers?
- Did Priya go above ground? (EDIT: Spoiler tag fail. But, I'm guessing no. Or if she did, she survived.)

The pace of the show is on hyperdrive. The one clip says Echo was out of the Dollhouse for three months, and the last two episodes had so much going on in them. As usual, there's always a handful of people who each week say "NOW the show is getting good," which I always roll my eyes at, but this time in particular, because this is not a pace sustainable for a show intended to last five seasons, this is playing catch-up. The episodes are mainly about moving the plot forward and throwing out an interesting idea here and there, so it looks like we won't be getting any more episodes mixed in like "Haunted" or "Instinct," where one idea can be explored more in-depth, unfortunately.

But if that's what it takes for my amazing cancelled show to finish telling its story, I'm not going to complain.
