First, I really need a new House/Wilson icon. And to clean up my tags. Anyways.

They were HIGH-LARIOUS. House certainly thought so, too, he practically jizzed his pants at one point and said, "This guy is good."

Oh noes, House could've gotten hurt. Oh noes, the loft is ruined foreverz. Except this is TV World, and House was never going to get seriously hurt and the loft will be fine by the next episode. Also, Wilson is like a gabillionaire who carries hundreds of dollars in his pockets for random hospital bets. Just sayin'.

Also, Lucas breaking into their home isn't inherently any creepier than House breaking into--wait, whose home HASN'T House broken into?

Now, I'm someone who was not amused by "Let Them Eat Cake." And being a feminist and having a chronic case of self-reflecting, I wondered if that was because I worship cock of internalized misogyny.

Yeah, my conclusion is no. The "prank war" in "Let Them Eat Cake" annoyed me because:
- The pranks weren't funny. WTF-inducing funny, maybe.
- I hated what TPTB had done to Cuddy at that point.
- It was in the midst of the Huddy storyline, one of the worst storylines I've seen on TV.
- House and Cuddy are supposed to be ~so in love~ with each other, yet treat each other like shit. (And then I'm in denial when I don't see this ~great love~)
- Cuddy was pissed about her own life and randomly took it out on House, which she fortunately admitted to.

"Moving the Chains" entertained me because:
- It brought us "The opossum was meant for me," Wilson screaming like a little girl, and Wilson trying to rescue the flat screen with a little rag.
- I currently like House, Wilson, and Lucas--and Cuddy's growing on me again.
- It's the middle of Season 6, which has been awesome so far. Not a single episode dipped below average, while a full 1/3 of Season 5 is unwatchable.
- Lucas was a dick, but he's not written to be House or Wilson's love interest. He was House's friend for a minute, but he decided he'd rather have Cuddy. His behavior is consistent. (Hm, I see more of a ~great love~ between him and Cuddy.)
- Lucas had a reason to start the pranks (Wilson outbidding Cuddy), and targeted the right people (House and Wilson). Over the top? Yep. But that's House for ya, where employees biopsy their bosses without anaesthesia or permission, and House breaks fingers of teenage girls because it makes him happy.

RED ALERT. RED ALERT. I'M STARTING TO LIKE CUDDY AGAIN. RED ALERT. THAT MEANS SHE WILL START TO SUCK AGAIN BECAUSE TPTB HATE ME, APPARENTLY.

I'm trying to think, has Cuddy annoyed me at all this season? I almost answered "no," but there's just one time I can think of--in "Wilson" when Cuddy made a big deal to Wilson about moving in with Lucas, clearly wanting him to relay the information to House. (I won't blame Cuddy for the Huddy anvils earlier this season; and though it was probably in the script, I'll blame LE and the director for Cuddy's ~pining for House~ expression when she's with Lucas at the end of "Ignorance Is Bliss." Seriously, TPTB, no one cares anymore.)

Though I'll never forgive TPTB for making Cuddy's entire adult life about pining after that weirdo from college she banged once, at least Ms. I-Like-Sex is finally getting some action, and, shock! Keeping her kid (you know, the one she's been after since Season 2) in mind when picking a partner.

Cuddy's screen-time has been more limited this season, which is the effect of very wisely staying out of House's business. Her annoyance with Wilson in "Epic Fail" for dragging her into House's crazy was a good sign. And lying to House about her sister's address in the Thanks giving episode? Brilliant. That was the time for lying and manipulation, because we all know House was just going to act a dick. Plus it sent a firm message to him--Not. Happening. Win/win.

And now in this episode, Cuddy isn't interested in engaging in an all-out war against House and Wilson over the loft. Holy shit, she's serious about not getting caught up in the crazy. Consistency! Good on her.

The Cuddy episode actually looks pretty good (KNOCK ON WOOD). Though I'm annoyed the promo for her ep is obviously about her, while the promo for Wilson's ep made it look like a regular one (and LE did interviews about the Cuddy ep right before "Wilson" aired, wtf).

A few sentences on Thirteen and Foreman: please don't get back together. Yeah, Foreman had a breakthrough, but he can take that learning experience into his next relationship. And Thirteen should get a really hot, steady girlfriend or else have a one-nighter with Chase.

Anyway, back to the main topic. House/Wilson gets paralleled with Chase/Cameron a lot, but this episode put House/Wilson and Cuddy/Lucas side-by-side, which actually works out quite wonderfully.

Wilson outbid Cuddy on the loft for a lot of reasons, but most relevantly, it was a sign Wilson was firmly on House's side. Though Lucas was a friend of House's, he retaliates, showing he's firmly on Cuddy's side. And then House shows no interest in continuing the wars--and Cuddy also expresses to Lucas she has no interest in them, either. (Also, Wilson before said Lucas is someone House considered a friend. Lucas in this ep says Cuddy thinks of them as her friends. Ooh, symmetry. I'd also argue Lucas and House aren't really friends, and neither are Cuddy and Wilson.)

Well, ain't that neat and tidy? If we're to take House and Wilson's, uh, relationship to be so epic and they're so perfect for each other, the writing kind of forces you to start drawing the conclusions about Cuddy and Lucas. It's almost as if TPTB are prepping us for a certain scene that's in the next episode.

I also think there are similarities between Wilson/Amber and Cuddy/Lucas. Just as Wilson's relationship with Amber had a positive effect on him, Cuddy's relationship with Lucas is doing the same. I'd also argue that Lucas is House Lite--I keep saying he's the perfect man for Cuddy because he's weird, obsessive, and a little creepy...just like House. But he'll actually watch her kid. And is probably for the whole marriage thing.

Now, watch TPTB fuck me over within the next few episodes and Cuddy starts a torrid affair with House, Lucas starts beating her, and Rachel--who's Rachel?

And Shore is such a douche, I stopped listening to what he says unless it's confirmed in some other form. Wasn't he all "oooh, Huddies are going to love the S5 finale" and then shat on them?

True. He also told Cameron fans that he had "long term plans" for Cameron (I remember that quote) and he got rid of her.
