I just stumbled upon ladiesbigbang. Awesome. I'm on such a writing kick I'd probably actually get something done for this.

The problem is trying to pick what to write--there are so many awesome female characters to choose from!



Martha's always the first one to pop in my head. I could do meta outlining her everyone second of sheer awesome, but that's just too easy. I could do that "rebuilding Torchwood" story that I've been wanting to do since S3 ended, and that would have an entire cast of ass-kicking women. Or I could do a Martha/Mickey fic, which the world desperately needs, because I think I'm the only one in love with that pair and who feels like it just makes sense. AND DING-DONG TOM IS GONE!

And my immediate second thought is of course Amber. I had a lot of ideas jotted down for Amber-centric stories before the Accidental Deletion of Epic Stupid aka Backup FAIL. One was Amber/13, and the other one was Amber and Cristina Yang's med school hijinks. Though I'd have to rewatch some of Grey's Anatomy since I stopped watching after S3. But Cristina is probably worth it...

Or there's Dollhouse! I've been wanting to write something for the show forever (well, I do have a thoroughly-outlined crossover lying around), and then after it got cancelled, I thought I'd wait for S2 to get on DVD and rewatch the entire thing. But there's still no date for that so who knows when that'll happen...But Dollhouse had a fantastic cast of female characters (something I wish haters would consider).

Adelle DeWitt? So much to work with. Nevermind that I ship her hard with Dominic. How did she get her job? What does she do after Epitaph 2? Hell, what does she do between Epitaph 1 and 2? Was "Roger" based on someone or pure fantasy? Or a Caroline/Bennett story, because...whoa, those two. So slashy, so warped. Then there's Priya--she's raising a kid in post-apocalyptic world, Tony's a tech head, she's really just a regular person with no crazy fighting skills or super smarts. Does she remember being raped in her doll state? Her friendship with Echo. And she technically still has tech in her head...even Ivy and Loomis deserve some love! Assuming Ivy escaped the Dollhouse, how did she fare afterwards? And I was always waiting for Loomis to start her own investigation after saying she believed Paul and then he just freakin' disappears.

God damn, that show.

And a part of me finds a Liz-centric story appealing, because there's so little Nip/Tuck fic out there. And I love Liz. And I was waiting for her to get a non-crazy girlfriend. Or maybe something about Ava. Or maybe BOTH, because they both have these issues with beauty and essentially wind up coming to opposite conclusions. (OH SHIT I'M KIND OF IN LOVE WITH THIS IDEA.)

Clearly, I need to do this Big Bang.
